I'm trying to export Crystal Report out from VB6 in Windows 7 PC, but I am getting the output file as zero size. How this can be fixed? When using same application from Windows XP, there is no issue.

This must be a localized error because I can't find anything about it on the web or at least on the developer's website. Typically, the documentation should cover almost all major errors and situations.
Search in the documentation database accessible through Help > Contents or look in the installation directory for user guide or troubleshooting documents.
Seagate Crystal Reports is developed and maintained by SAP. Typically, if you're a customer and you're using a Crystal Reports product, then must have an admin or a reseller that handles everything about it. In case you don't have such thing, a direct contact with the developers has to be established. You can request support on the website listed below.
In general, this error occurs because you're not running the application from an Administrator account. Therefore, in order to solve the issue, I suggest you log in on a Windows Administrator profile and run the software. Also, it occurs when you open migrated crystal report objects. To fix it, go to Maintenance > General > Object Types > Objects Type, select Peoplesoft file object and set the File format for Crystal Report to Image. If the error persists, I recommend reinstalling the program.
Architecture : Client-Server Database : MS-SQL Server 2000 FrontEnd : MS-VB6 Report : Seagate Crystal Report 8 Network Type : Win XP Workgroup Security Policy : "Windows and SQL Server" in MS-SQL Server Crystal Repot Designed with ODBC and at runtime it is calling using Connectionstring
In Windows 7, when we use "Windows Authentication" security policy in SQL server, it's showing report usually at run time, but when we use "Windows And SQL-Server" security policy in SQL server, it's showing error "Can't open SQL server" when calling any report at run time.

The discussion around this problem is troubleshooted on various websites. The common reason and fix is to use only one connection to the SQL Server. For both methods, Windows Authentication and SQL server, there might be additional settings that need to be configured.
I recommend checking the information listed through Google Search in order to find out the possible configuration and fixes for this error: http://goo.gl/TJI26j
To save the files as an Excel spreadsheet, open Crystal Report Designer and then select the report you want to open. Additionally, select the Report menu and then Refresh Report Data. Then use File > Print and then Export in the submenu. The Export dialog box should appear. Choose the Format (Excel) and the Destination and type a name for your exported file and that's it. Your content will be exported to Excel. The software will also give you the possibility to customize various options based on your selection.
I want to install my Seagate Crystal Reports Ver7 in my Windows 7 computer, but first text box apply 4 character no 5 character and second text box apply only 6 character instead of 7 characters. I cannot install this program in Windows 7. I can do it on Windows XP and Windows 2003 where are 5 and 7 character spaces. Can you help me?

Firstly, try installing the program using Windows 7 Compatibility Mode. If you can't, download and install Windows XP Mode and try installing the software in this environment. If the problem persists, you will need to contact the developers. You can get in touch with them using the Contact Us page.

The Seagate Crystal Reports is not fully compatible with Windows 8 and because of that you encounter these errors. My advice is to remove the software and then install it with an Administrator user. However, after you finish installing, right click the executable and then select Properties > Compatibility and choose Windows 7 or Windows XP. After this operation, start the application and load your reports and it should work.
Hi,
